The Sail Inn Grand ReOpening!!

The Sail Inn, which had been a live music staple in Tempe for many years, closed in 2005. On January 30, 2009, the Sail Inn reopened. I ventured up to the bar for both Friday and Saturday of Opening weekend, and on Saturday, the Mojo Farmers played, featuring their new drummer.

Thanks to Gina for bringing back the best live music venue in Tempe!!

Meet Buster

After Matt & I moved in together, Sadie, Matt's dog, was having a hard time adjusting to being the only dog, and has been chewing up the house, i.e. the floorboards, blinds, etc in response to her separation anxiety. So one day after work Matt & I ventured to the Maricopa County Animal Control center in Mesa and picked out a little buddy for Sadie.

Overall, Buster has been a very good dog, he listens well, responds to commands, is good on a leash and friendly. However, being only 7 months old, he chews EVERYTHING. I have lost DVD covers, a garden hose, leather work gloves, etc. So now the dogs are outside dogs whenever we are not home, but still welcome parts of our little family.

California Road Trip

My aunt & uncle in Fallbrook (the avocado capital of the world!) recently completed a remodel of their home, so Matt and I drove out to see the new kitchen, and hang out with my family, whom I hadn't seen in over a year. After selecting the one weekend in January that wasn't compromised by football, we headed for SoCal.

We spent Saturday on a trolley tour of San Diego, with stops at Balboa Park, Old Town San Diego for some delicious Mexican food, and Coronado Island. It was a short weekend, but a great trip, and I can't wait to go back and hang out with Jeff & Debbie again soon!!
